Villa Armonia – Olive green serenity

All those who feel tired out of the exhausting daily life in the bustling cities desire the tranquility of nature. Perhaps some of them are dreaming of a vacation in a villa, surrounded by the serenity of an olive grove, not far from the sea. Villa Armonia is exactly what you are looking for if you are of the opinion that for a pleasant holiday you need a self-catering villa away from crowds, but with easy access to all the famous beaches and attractions of the area and of course close to the local market.

THE VILLA

It stands in a huge private olive grove. It was completely renovated in 2020 and can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. Due to the inclined field, the entrance is on the ground level but on the other side, there is an additional lower floor, where is located an extra room with a bathroom and separate entrance. It has the ceiling at door height, so it is ideal for two children to sleep there. The upper floor consists of two bedrooms, a dining/living area, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower cabin. In the garden, there are two verandas with outdoor furniture.

SLEEP

On the top floor, the two bedrooms are furnished with double beds for 4 adults. One bedroom has a Queen Size bed. In the living room, there is a sofa that opens and can sleep 2 children. Downstairs, a double bed can sleep 2 children.

EAT & DRINK

The fully-equipped kitchen offers an oven and stove for cooking breakfast, meals, and snacks. Pots, pans, and everything you need to prepare a good home-cooked meal is provided. You can enjoy your delicious meals at the dining table or outside on the spacious garden veranda. Having dinner under the stars and listening to nature’s summer songs, you will be perfectly refreshed, ready for the next day’s excursions.

FACILITIES

The garden provides all you need for relaxing and for children to play carefree outside and enjoy the sun. Laundry equipment allows you to keep your clothes fresh and clean during your stay. There are racks on the sunny and breezy terrace, where you can hang-dry your laundry and beach towels to perfection. The villa is air-conditioned. There are mosquito screens everywhere. A smart TV is provided. Always stay connected with the villa’s private internet connection. A/C, Wi-Fi and taxes are included in the rental. Free private parking is available. Hosting small dogs is possible upon request.

WHAT THERE IS AROUND

The arrivals come to Thassos from the mainland by ferries that operate dozens of crossings daily with a duration of less than 40 minutes. Villa Armonia is just a 3-min drive from the port, so you will not lose time to rest after a long journey. Of course, if you don’t feel tired, there are many seaside taverns and 3 organized beaches next to the villa. Leave your luggage and walk there. It is no more than 8 - 9 minutes’ walk. Limenas (means ‘Port’) is the capital village and here you find everything you need to enjoy an unforgettable stay. Within a 2-km radius, there are more than 10 fully organized beaches with beach bars, water sports, and lots of fun activities. The capital town also satisfies any mood for nightlife.

More taverns operate in the central market and around the picturesque fishing port, called ‘The Old Harbour’. They serve fresh fish delivered directly by the fishing boats. Of course, there are many street food shops, as well as grocery stores, meat and fish market providing everything for home cooking. The largest supermarket on the island is a 10-minute walk from the villa. The nearest gas station is 1,2 km away. If you don’t have your own car, use the regular bus services. The terminal bus station is located next to the port, a 15-minute walk from the villa. Limenas is the financial center. It provides access to banks and mainly offers the opportunity to visit the island’s largest commercial and tourist market. The pedestrian shopping street leads to the Ancient Agora and the Archaeological Museum that hosts many interesting exhibits. Next to it is located one of the oldest temples on the island (built in 835 AD). Villa Armonia is just 150 m away from the asphalt road that passes around the island and makes it easy to access any tourist attraction.
