One of the unique characteristics of this area is the flat ground and the dense pine trees. Walking around is very easy thanks to no hills. The terrain is very flat so little kids, elderly adults and people with mobility issues will find moving around relatively easy.

Skala Prinos is a short walk away which is where the ferries arrive from Kavala. This makes getting here easy and offers yet another choice for your holiday! Try hopping on a ferry and taking a day trip in Kavala, an historically rich city with incredible monuments and ancient ruins to visit. It’s also a beautiful city to tour and has a thriving market where you can go shopping on the high streets.

Prinos is a 5-minute drive away where the island’s only open-air market (bazaar) takes place every Monday from the early morning hours till the early afternoon. It’s definitely worth visiting for finding great bargains on clothes, fabrics, fresh produce, local products and so much more.
