The picturesque fishing village of Skala Maries hugs three sandy beaches along its sun-drenched coastline, but many people don’t know there are two more secret beaches nearby, Fari Beach and Emerald Beach. The two unorganized beaches, with their wild beauty and fascinating blue-green water, are not easily accessible by car which is why very few people visit them or even know about them. Those who walk the footpath to reach these beaches are filled with excitement as they approach and discover these hidden gems. They remain untouched by human development and offer a quiet alternative from the crowded organized beaches around Thassos. Emerald Beach is sandy with smooth pebbles while Fari Beach is rocky and perfect for fun activities like snorkeling and fishing.

Villa Sangria was built in 2019 just 80 metres from Emerald Beach. It boasts breathtaking sea views and the most spectacular sunsets! With a 120m² living area, this two-level villa has been constructed to the highest standards. It comes with 4 air-conditioned bedrooms, a bathroom and a ½ bath, a huge open plan kitchen-dining-living room, large verandas and a private swimming pool with a poolside patio. Here you can enjoy spectacular sunsets from the comfort of your own pool (the perfect scene for sharing photos with your Facebook and Instagram followers!).

The lower level consists of three bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom is furnished with a king size bed, the second has two single beds and in the third there is a TV and a 3-seater sofa bed where 2 children (0-12 years) can sleep comfortably.

Upstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed, a ½ bath, and a spacious open plan kitchen-dining-living room with a 50’ Flat Screen TV and big glass windows overlooking the beach and swimming pool. The kitchen is fully equipped and laundry equipment is provided in the villa. The use of 6 air conditioners, Wi-Fi and ample private parking are free.

Nearby Places & Attractions

Villa Sangria by Emerald Beach is 1.2 Km from Skala Maries, which is a 2-minute drive or a 15-minute walk. There you will find super markets, bakeries, restaurants, a pharmacy, and everything else you may need during your stay. We highly recommend you to try the traditional tavernas (restaurants) serving delicious and inexpensive fresh fish, supplied directly from the local fishing boats!

The nearest gas station is 5 Km away while banking services are available in the nearby village of Limenaria, 7 Km away. Potos village is the nightlife capital and is 11 Km away. 22 Km away is Giola, a popular natural pool of sea water where people go to swim in its warm water and admire its unique beauty. Drive further and you will reach the imposing Monastery of Archangel Michael. Built on the edge of a cliff, the monastery appears to be hovering between the sky and the vastness of the Aegean Sea. Drive further to reach the twin sandy coves of Aliki, probably the most photographed location of Thassos.
